Over the coming weeks we’ll look at some of the amazingly versatile verbs in English, in other words, verbs that can be used in many different ways. Let’s start with “to have”. Its best-known purpose is to show possession, e.g. “I have a blue car”. But it is far more useful than that! Have a look (note!) at the picture…
