Versatile Verb: “to take” (part 1)

In English, the meaning of a verb can change completely if we combine it with an adverb or a preposition. For example, “to put off” means “to delay something”. This new meaning has nothing to do with the normal meaning of “to put”.

Today we will look at the verb “to take”, and how it can be used for many different meanings…
